DotNetNuke 6 is coming, DotNetNuke 6 is coming! That’s right, we’re getting close, close enough that we had our first “beta” for DNN6 today. While we’ve had a couple of CTP (community technology preview) releases, the beta today has quite a bit of things wrapped up and addressed.

Well life has already caused me to miss the whole “new tip every business day” goal for the site, oh well, I’ll strive to get as many posts going as I can. Last night I had Darrell Hardy here in town for the Denver DotNetNuke user group meeting, and then today was my three year wedding anniversary, so time has been limited. For now I’m going to repost an old daily tip I posted long ago. This will be a quick DotNetNuke Tip, but a worthwhile one nonetheless! I've seen this question asked tons of times, and even got an email from someone this weekend asking the very same thing.

This is a new post, based on information I originally posted on my blog at DotNetNuke.com a few years ago. Upgrading DotNetNuke is actually fairly easy, you can do so with ease in most cases, though occasionally you may run into a problem or two. If you follow the steps below you should be able to recover from any issues and get your website back up and running in its original state.

So I’ve got way too many blogs, so why not add another one? I’m going to be posting blogs here on DNNDaily.com now as I work to get back into the swing of posting a new DotNetNuke tip every day of the business week (holidays and weekends may see an occasional post). Read the full post for all the details.
